National Mathematic Day Celebrations

The Mathematics day was celebrated with objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day-to-day life situation and also to create students’ interest in studying the mathematics. As part of the celebrations, quiz programme, drawing competition on geometrical designs and talk on Mathematics were organized. The programme was enjoyed by the participants and other students. The students participated in the above programmes with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the programmes. Respected headmistress also graced the occasion and encouraged the students to participate in such activities in future as well.

Chrysalis Day 

The Montessori Sr. Secondary school organized the Open-House for students, classes I to V to discuss the performance of the students with their parents. the parents were given feedback on their ward’s performance where they discussed both the strengths and areas of improvements. The Parents expressed their gratification towards the institution in enhancing the personality of the students. The Achievement report was shown to the parents and their suggestions were noted.

Montessori Senior Secondary School has been honored with an award from ‘Oxford University Press’, to Mrs.Sri Jyothi Mam by Mr.Mohan Kathari, Educator and Head of Digital Sales Oxford University press, India.  This recognition underscores our overall commitment to providing a top-notch education.
On the first day of the 9th Sub-Junior and Junior Winter Aquatic Inter-District Championship held at Palnadu District Narasaraopet from 16th, in the first day of the competition, in the Group-2 category, she finished second in the 200m freestyle event and won a silver medal, and finished third in the 100m backstroke event and won a bronze medal in Bangalore. Congratulations to Chiranjeevi Shruti who has been selected for the upcoming South Zone Championship
“Akhila Bharatiya Rajbasha Hindi Pariksha”, Pune have conducted an exam for school children across the country to provide an opportunity for them to showcase their brilliance in our national language i.e. Hindi.
In this exam students of “Montessori” have secured prizes, gold medals and a citation.  We sincerely congratulate them and wish them more success in all their future endeavours. Dussehra celebrations

Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Montessori Sr. Secondary School. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and culture just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school community together, building a close bond between the children.
Keeping up to this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated by our Pre-primary students on 13th October 2023. Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated for 10 days, it also marks the end of Navratri. Dussehra signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravan, hence it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Children came dressed in ethnic clothes. They enjoyed activities related to Dussehra and listening the story of Dussehra. Teachers also shared some valuable information about the festival thus enhancing their learning.

World space week – 2023-24 Winners

In connection to World space week – (2023) ISRO has conducted a number of activities in G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool. Montessorians from Grade 6 to Grade 10 actively participated in Quiz, Essay writing and elocution competitions. 

World Teachers’ Day

World Teachers’ Day is an international day held annually on 5 October to celebrate the work of teachers. In connection Montessori teachers received best teacher awards, organized by APUSMA.

Children Blessing on the eve of Dussehra

Festivals in India have their own credibility according to their region state and locality. In this context, Dussehra also has its own vitality as a festival for range of people across India. Children are innocents and also regarded as close to the divinity, they bless teachers in schools and colleges including the influential people in the villages in the form of special songs called Dussehra Songs. According to Indian mythological saying children’s utterance is alike Brahma, the “Unique God”. It’s an auspicious aspect to shower with blessings to the staff of Montessori institutions by little girls resembling goddess Bala Tripura Sundari. The specialty of this festival is unlike the elders’ blessings the children, the children bless the elders. The main visible feature of this event is to enable the present children accustom to the traditional values and rich Telugu culture.  

Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations

Mahatma Gandhi or more lovingly known as Mahatma by all Indians is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led to India to its glorious freedom. 2nd October every year Montessori Sr. Secondary School celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti the story of his life has impacted humanity to its core. The students led choir sung Gandhi’s favourite bhajan ‘Vaishnav Janto’ with full exuberance.
A special speech with Gandhian quotes and messages brought the gathering to understand more about this iconic leader. Gandhian ideals were depicted through a skit which the students presented in the most eloquent manner. All our students were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to became berths citizens of India and this World.

Swachhata Hi Seva

Cleanliness is a stepping stone to success. As a part of the campaign for “Swachhata Hi Seva” on 1st October.  Students and teachers Montessori Sr. Secondary School participated in various green awareness activities. They crated awareness on keeping their surrounding under the shramadaan and visiting Goshala.

Montessori Sr. Secondary school conducted every year Australian National Chemistry Quiz is a unique chemical education activity. It provides a major focus for secondary school students on the relevance of chemistry in an exciting and stimulating way. The Australian National Chemistry Quiz aims to promote interest in chemistry and the role of chemists in our society. The Australian National Chemistry Quiz is not a nationwide assessment of chemistry knowledge, but rather an opportunity to promote Chemistry and for teachers to gauge the understanding their students have of the subject. Students receive a Certificates, Certificates of Merit to acknowledge their efforts at Credit, Distinction and High Distinction levels.

Zoonoses day

Montessori School celebrated Zoonoses day on 6 July 2019. ‘Zoonotic’ means infectious diseases that are spread between animals and people. Many children interact with animals in their daily lives, both at home and away from home. Pets offer good companionship and entertainment. However, some animals can carry harmful germs that can cause illness. The focus of this day was to create awareness of such diseases among students. This day commenced with the speech of Dr. KARTHIKA LAKSHMI & Dr. BABY STEFFI. In her speech she highlighted the benefits of raising children with pets.

World Environment Day

“Environment is a gift to us, save and secure it”

Montessori Sr. Secondary School celebrate every year “World Environment Day” is a campaign observed world wide every year on 5th of June to raise awareness about environment, protection of nature and the planet Earth.

World Environment Day is a platform for encouraging consciousness and action for the protection of environment. This day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals in preserving and enhancing the environment.

Colourful charts, paintings were displayed at the school foyer depicting concern about the environment and the way to tackle the problem of pollution and global warming by planting more trees every year. The paintings also gave the message to keep the surroundings clean and save the planet Earth.

Slogans on World Environment Day encouraged and motivated the students to beautify the surrounding areas through plantations, greenery, saving water etc. This day also reminded that we have only one planet to live on, it is our home and only we are responsible to maintain its natural beauty forever.

National Science Day

Dept. of Science of Montessori Sr. Secondary School Celebrated National Science Day on 28th February – 2023 at school premises. The day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect. The main aim of the celebration was to acknowledge the success achieved by sheer hard work and perseverance of students in several Intra & Inter school competitions held this academic year. Students recited science poem, tapped their feet and sang melodious science song. The occasion was presided by Dr. SUNITHA.S, Dr. KRISHNA MOHAN, Smt. SASHIKALA and H.M RAMA JYOTHI.Y

Chrysalis Day

Chrysalis Day is celebrated every year in Montessori Sr. Secondary School on February. It’s a day for the Parents to witness how their Child Learns, Explores and Express in their Classrooms. Think Room Day celebration feel that a Child can be Successful if he/she is Strong in Cognitive, Social and Emotional Aspects. On this day, the students of Montessori exhibit their Projects, Activity and Play Skit to Express What they have done in the Entire Academic Year.

SCIENOFAIR

Science begins with wonder, scientific temperament and rational thinking” There are no dreams too large, no innovation unimaginable and no frontiers beyond the reach of the students of Montessori Sr. Secondary School. Students created machines out of scrap material provided at makers Space and also reassembled wood to create Models. In the connection of science day, we organize “SCIENOFAIR”.  The budding scientists of Montessorians displayed different models and experiments with great enthusiasm and excitement. The scienofair was open from 10.00am to 12pm and the parents were also provided an opportunity to view it. The event provided a platform for scientific explorations and innovations for the future scientists.

Telugu Language Day

Montessori School celebrated Telugu Language Day. On this occasion we celebrated the Telugu Language Day on 21st February at our school. The students were all impressive dressed in the colorful traditional attire. Students recited and sang poems, songs, to describe the glory of the Telugu language. The school H.M, Rama Jyothi.Y, advised the students not to neglect their mother tongue while learning other languages.

Wedza Flaunta

Montessori Sr. Secondary School, A-Camp organized Science Fairs in the connection of National Science Day “Wedza Flaunta”. Science Fairs give students an opportunity to individually investigate a scientific problem. Students’ complete individual or team projects in which they are required to formulate a question, research a topic, design an experiment, collect and analyse data, and form a conclusion based on their work. These projects help students learn the scientific method by actually going through almost the same process that scientists use. Students also learn how to sequence data into an attractive display and how to make a clear and effective oral presentation of their work.

Cultural Eve (PANCHATANTRA)

The primary block of Montessori Sr. Secondary school celebrated a “Cultural Eve” on 15th Feb, 2023 in the school premises. The students of class 3 and 4 enchanted and mesmerized the audience with skits, dances and songs. An evening filled with memories in the school life of kids.

In the connection with the National Science Day to be celebrated on Feb 28th, a number of activities are conducted, cooking competition was conducted for classes 8 & 9 under the theme “Miraculous Millets”. Students participated with great passion & enthusiasm; awesome, innovative dishes made by the participants relishes everyone.

 

We are highly elated to share our students’ achievement in IEO(International English Olympiad) this year. Nearly 330 students have taken part in this competition from classes VI to X. Students were given participation certificates and the winners were awarded with medal of distinction and gold medal of excellence based on their score.

‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is an annual event in which the prime minister addresses questions related to time management, board exam stress and anxiety. Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), conducted by the Ministry of Education, is held in New Delhi.

Republic day celebrations take place with patriotic fever in Montessori Sr. Secondary schools as the children in all grades learn about India’s political history, freedom struggle and the Constitution as a part of their curriculum. They learn how the great sons of the motherland have fought to attain freedom and make India a sovereign state. Therefore, the children feel inspired and participate actively in the Republic Day ceremony and celebration. A March Past is conducted by the students from various sections while the school choir sings patriotic songs. Then the National Flag is hoisted by the Chief Guest and the Principal, teachers, school staff and students from different grades and classes join together in the singing of the National Anthem, Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram. The National Pledge which is an oath of allegiance to the Republic of India is recited by one and all to mark the occasion.

Students of class X were addressed by the Joint Collector of Vijayawada P. Sravanthi and Mr. Narayana Reddy, CEO (AP Urban Infrastructure asset management). The session was very useful to the students to stay (Experience is the Mother of Knowledge) motivated.

Montessori Cyber Club’s organize various events at the school level in order to engage with young minds and develop an enhanced learning experience. Christmas Celebrations

Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends. It was surely a Christmas to remember at Montessori Sr. Secondary School, A-Camp. The school wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Several activities such as decorating Christmas Trees and Stockings, making Christmas Cards and Hand-crafted bells were organized for the students. The children were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus. The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots. The essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Clause himself went into the classes. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them. The delightful celebration included children coming in red and white colour party dress, bringing their favourite food in the lunch, dancing and sharing the merriment together.

National Mathematics Day

National Mathematics Day was celebrated at Montessori Sr. Secondary School on the 22nd of December, 2022. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian Mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. The main aim of the celebration was to awaken the interest and temperament towards the subject through thought provoking skit, Quiz, speeches, Songs and dances proving that learning mathematics is good for one’s brain and it helps everyone in dealing with their finances, time and many more daily aspects in life.

Montessori senior secondary school, A-camp, kurnool celebrated “Dancin Feet” its Annual Day on the 21st of December, 2022. Many eminent dignitaries were present at the annual day celebration, including the Directors, Head Mistress and Board Members of the school. All the students and their parents were invited to this function. The program started at 5:30 p.m. with the Hostess delivering her commencement speech and the lighting of the diyas by the Head Mistress. In the first half of the program, the students from Class 1 & 2 entertained everyone with their beautiful dance and drama performances. Before the commencement of the second half of the program, the annual report has been presented by Academic coordinator of CHRYSALIS. Soon after that, many performances based on the famous tracks in different languages mesmerized the audience.” KANTARA” was the spine chilling performance and stood as the SHOW STOPPER” The parents kept cheering for their children who were performing on the stage. After three hours of grand performances by the students, the program ended with the Hostess proposing the vote of thanks and extending her warm regards to everyone present at the Annual Day function.

This session was very helpful to students to build their confidence, time management, honesty, optimism and also to be guided by positive mindset and driven by self -motivation.

Edu Fiesta

In today’s era, education is not only confined to reading and writing. It is now linked to the holistic development of the children. This is the reason our Montessori Sr. Secondary School, (CBSE Standard Block) organized ‘Edu-Fiesta – 2022’ (Ocean of creativity) in our school premises. Students from classes 6 to 9 participate with their exhibits in various subject like extravaganza of languages, marvels of math, panorama of social sciences, spectrum of science, हिंदी है हम, తెలుగు వెలుగు.

            The event was a tremendous success. It was so wonderful to watch our students present various experiments, models & exhibits. The parents were also provided an opportunity to view their kid’s presentations. The students were zealous to explain the concepts of their projects/ experiments/ models to everyone present. The invitee for the day, our chairperson  Mr. Rajasekhar Garu, Our H.M. Rama Jyothi Mam & Sri Jyothi Mam and all the coordinators were overwhelmed by each child’s performance.

       We also appreciate the efforts ideas and execution of the Montessori team in making this event a successful one.  This event made our students more confident, creative, future-ready and learners for life.

Dental Check-up Camp Held In School

Montessori Sr. Secondary  School,  collaborated with a team of senior dentists organise a free dental check-up and awareness camp in the school premises. The team of dentists along with para-medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental check-up on students from Class VI & IX.
The camp included dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments — especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases — and the measures used to prevent them. The students were made aware about the eating patterns and food choices which can lead to tooth decay. The young students cherished the chance to interact with the dentists to enquire and gain knowledge about their oral health and maintaining good oral hygiene. The school staff and children thanked the dentists and para-medical staff for rendering their selfless service to the school.

Quadcopter Workshop

Montessori Sr. Secondary school of Techno block in collaboration with Maga drone workshop.

Quadcopter (from Quad “four” and Copter “helicopter”) is an aerial robot combining a simple propeller mechanism with powerful electronics for limitless real-world applications. It is an embedded system comprising of microcontrollers, sensors, flight gear and other integrated components. This workshop helps participants to develop a Quadcopter project from scratch while understanding the various engineering concepts in making a working Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Developing a Quadcopter provides the right kind of hands-on application that an Engineering student needs!

Every year the Montessori I-Kids celebrates its Sports Day in the month of November. It is one of the most loved events of the year, the children very longingly look forward to it. The month of November is earmarked for the occasion, as, at this time, the weather is pleasing for a long span of games on the field. When this day is about to come, there appears to be a lot of activity in the entire school premises as arrangements take time.

Importance of sports:

Sport develops a sense of friendliness among the children and develops their team spirit. It helps children to develop mental and physical toughness. The school believes that sports is an integral part of education and in Montessori School, children are taught various sorts of games and are taught gross motor skills in very early stages to keep their value in life.

No bag day

The Primary block had ” No bag day “ on 24th September 2022. The kids had fun filled activities of making Bhelpuri, Sandwiches, Vegg. Saute and Fruit Salad….. scooped it down to their full.

MUKTHESH GOUD of 6th MAP bagged first prize in National Open Karate – Kung-Fu Championship – 2022 held at Hyderabad

Felicitation of teachers mark Teachers’ Day celebrations

Felicitation of teachers and a string of other activities highlighting the role of the teacher in the society marked the Teachers’ Day in Montessori School held every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Scores of teachers and heads of institutions were honoured by the respective headmistress for their extraordinary contribution in enriching the field of education.

Montessori Senior secondary School , A Camp emerged as Champion in NCC ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP. Montessorians were acclaimed as the best drill, best culture, best debate etc.

Students won the first prize in quiz competition conducted by Vidya vikas vahini, Vijayawada on the eve of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Students received the prizes in Monte international school.
Haunia Mahek has won 3rd prize in the elocution competition.
Amrita varshini of VIII A2 has won the 3rd prize in essay writing competition and received the prize today from KMC commissioner Sri Bhargav garu.
Bagged prizes in the Music competition conducted by Kurnool Municipal Corporation.

Rahul(X MAP), Satya Prakash Reddy (IX MAP) Luqmaan (IX MAP) bagged second prize in the quiz competition conducted by Kurnool Municipal Corporation and they received a cash prize of 3,000 rupees from KMC commissioner Sri Bhargav garu.

Quit India  – 8th August, 2022
